Caroline Pappas is an 18-year-old student filmmaker from Annapolis, Maryland, currently studying Environmental Science with a minor in Film at Anne Arundel Community College. She has worked on several short films in various roles, including director, producer, and assistant director. One of her short films was selected for the Annapolis Film Festival, where she also completed a paid internship in production.
Bella Saros is an 18-year-old filmmaker from Annapolis, Maryland. She will be studying Film at Anne Arundel Community College.
Haynes Bauer is a 17-year-old filmmaker from Annapolis, Maryland. He is passionate about writing music and making short films with his friends. He performs on the worship team at Bay Area Community Church and looks forward to studying cinematography at his university in the future.
Vivienne is a 16-year-old rising junior at Severn School. This is her 4th year at Filmsters Academy, 1st in advanced. In the past, she has been an actor, director, writer, and sound. She is planning on studying animation and film in college.
Ryan will be attending Stevenson University in the fall with a major in Film and Moving Image and a minor in music. He hopes to one day work in the film industry as a writer.
Ila Davies is a sixteen-year-old writer, actor, and filmmaker from Annapolis, Maryland. They have worked on several short films before Who Knew, but this is their first short film to be entered into festivals. In their free time, they write their own scripts and poetry, as well as make digital art. They hope to one day act in movies and television commercials, and they are always looking for new opportunities to reach these goals.
Juda Goldstein is a highly decorated Director/Producer and a Visual Effects Artist from Arnold, Maryland. One of his latest films, Find My, was screened at the AMC Empire 25 and was an Official Selection at the All-American High School Film Festival, along with Fan-Fare, a film he produced, which won the Emerging Talent Award at the same festival. He has seen recognition at many festivals like the Broadneck Film Festival, the All-American High School Film Festival, and the Annapolis Film Festival.
Nathan is an award-winning filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor based in Annapolis, MD. He has been making his independent films since he was 16 and has since come to founded his own media production company, which specializes in creating promotional content for numerous businesses and organizations across MD. As a marketing major with a minor in media production at the University of Tampa, Nathan is constantly working to expand his knowledge of digital media production and will continue his work throughout his academic career and thereafter.
MacK George is an 18 year old filmmaker from Annapolis, Maryland, studying Film and Sequential Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design. She uses most of her brain power on illustration and films - her most recent personal project, “Drywalled,” won ‘Best Animation’ at the Anne Arundel County Film Festival in March of 2025. MacK is passionate and loves to make movies with like-minded and driven people.

Zech is a compassionate person who is into film, animation, engineering, design, etc. Zech also has a great liking towards music, which led him to do sound on set. He is proud to help people in whatever way he can, especially when it comes to the film industry.
Tricia is a native Annapolitan with an expertise in Directing, Producing, and Assistant Directing. She's directed two episodes of Half Life, a half-hour comedy shown on NYCLife and WhoHaha. Her short, Sucker, won a Block Island FF Lighthouse Award, and was an official entrant to BAFTA Student Film Awards and National Board of Review Student Film Award. She has produced/Assistant Directed on many shorts and branded content including Assistant Directing for Stevie Van Zandt. In Television Production, Love Life seasons 1 & 2 as a Showrunner's Asssistant, and The Bite (CBS/Spectrum), The Outsider (HBO), The Affair season 5 (Showtime). She has an MFA in Directing from CUNY Brooklyn College Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema and is a graduate of the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She is a member of the BAFTA, New York Women in Film and TV.
Yalian Li earned her MFA in Film and Television Production from USC. Her short films have been distributed on Shorts TV, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Nikita Ventures, and showcased at over 30 international film festivals worldwide. Right now she is directing a TV documentary series for NBC Universal and is an associate programmer for the Santa Fe International Film Festival.
An Annapolis native, Payton is an assistand director and writer now based in Brooklyn, NY. She recieved her B.S. in Film Prouction from Drexel University. This year has also seen her working in production for film festivals, a new and unexpected challenge. Her free time is spent writing her first feature film, which she intends to shoot here in her hometown.
Bobby Lam is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles, CA. He recently shot Who Are You People, Disney Channel's Under Wraps and Under Wraps 2, and the 2017 feature A Crooked Somebody. A member of IATSE Local 600, his body of work spans over two decades across feature films, documentaries, commercials music videos, and streaming TV. Bobby has had the pleasure of working with Oscar-Nominated filmmakers Tim and Trevor White in addition to acting heavyweights Ed Harris, Golden Globe-Winning Joanne Froggat, and many others. Bobby was humbled to be a participant in the 2nd round of Unreal's Virtual Production Fellowship in 2020.
Ben Trevey is a Los Angeles-based Director of Photography whose works span narrative, commercial, and music video projects. He graduated from UNCSA in 2022 with a BFA in Filmmaking and a concentration in cinematography.
Kai has been working as a professional video editor for the last decade, specializing in documentary and narrative film. Projects on which he has been credited have been featured on platforms such as HBO, PBS, and CuriosityStream. Kai is passionate about video editing as a storytelling medium and shaping narratives through rhythm, music, and visual flow.
Stephen grew up in Annapolis and for high school attended Gunston Day School and was a recipient Guston Players Drama Award. He attended Columbia College Chicago and received a bachelor's degree in Film & Video in 2010. He has worked in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Annapolis as a production sound engineer. He has been involved with numerous projects in the categories of feature, short films, commercials, and streaming content which have received assorted accolades.
Marc Elzey is a graduate of Morgan State University and has been working in the film and television industry in the Baltimore and DC area for the past 20 years as a gaffer, electrician, and dolly grip. He has also been teaching filmmaking at the Baltimore School for the Arts for the past 6 years
Johnny Greggory is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Film and Television. He works as a set electric and board operator on TV shows, commercials, and theatrical shows in Savannah, Georgia.
Lauren is a local makeup artist from Annapolis, MD, and has been working in the makeup and film industry for nearly 10 years. her work ranges from commercials and broadcasts to feature films and documentaries. She attended FX University and Cinema Makeup School where she trained under winners of SyFy's hit TV show Face Off and some of the industry's top leading professionals. She specializes in beauty and special effects makeup, creating customized prosthetics for characters, and has won multiple awards for her creations.
Jacob is a rising senior at St. John's College Santa Fe campus. He plans to earn an associate's degree in Media Production after he earns his bachelor's degree from St. John's.
Julie has been involved in costuming for theater production for the last 30 years in the Annapolis area. She has also taught sewing lessons to students of all ages. She has spent the last several years teaching Family and Consumer Science at the Magothy River Middle School.
Flora has volunteered for the Annapolis Film Festival for the past two years and has been a substitute teacher at AACPS during the same time. She has volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations and has led charitable events for the school system. She ran the Shanghai-Puxi Cub as ours Pack for three years.
Vera J. Katz is a Professor Emerita from Howard University in the Department of Theatre Arts where she taught both acting and directing for 32 years. She has directed over a hundred productions, originally working under the famed playwright-director-author, Moss Hart, on Broadway. She has taught such notables as Debbie Allen, Anthony Anderson, Chadwick Boseman, and many others. She has completed the work on her book, A Katz's Walk, which focuses on the technique of acting and directing which is geared towards beginning and experienced actors, and teachers of acting; especially those of diverse ethnicity. She also teaches privately.
Elizabeth Armstrong is an honors student at Colgate University Majoring in Art History with double minors in Museum Studies and Film and Media Studies, Elizabeth studied abroad in Florence, Italy. She was selected for two prestigious internships: she worked for the Film Sales Company during the 77th Annual Cannes Film Festival, where she also debuted a short at the Producers Club. Elizabeth also worked in a multi-faceted capacity at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy.
Patti White is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and television producer. White is the Co-Founder and Principal at Filmsters. She is also the Co-Founder and Festival Director with Anderson, of the Annapolis Film Festival, now in its 13th year.
A television producer and filmmaker for three decades, K. Lee Anderson began her career first as a commercial producer, then as a news producer for both ABC and CBS broadcasts in Maryland. In 2002, Anderson created and co-founded Filmsters. In 2012-2013, she co-founded the Annapolis Film Festival with her producing partner, Patti White where she still serves as one of two Festival Directors and is currently an Emeritus Member of the Board of Directors.
